Value Stream Transformation

A Value Stream is the sequence of activities and processes that create and deliver value to the customer.

A Value Stream Map shows the flow of the material and Information from start to finish.

Value Stream Transformation is a process that involves mapping the Current State of a value stream to identify and waste, variation, and inefficiency to improve the flow of value to meet customer demand. The team then creates a Future State Value Stream Map and Transform the value stream from Current State to Future State typically over 90-120 days. A3 structured problem-solving focuses on identifying, analyzing, and solving problems systematically. It uses a single-sheet (A3-sized) format to document key aspects: problem definition, background, analysis, proposed countermeasures, implementation plan, and results tracking. The approach encourages clear, concise communication and collaborative problem-solving, promoting continuous improvement.
